#VOTW: The Revivalists “You and I (Made In Muscle Shoals)”

The Revivalists just released the official video for their updated version of “You and I”, an original song that first appeared on their 2018 album, Take Good Care. The song was recently revised and revved-up, during the band’s recording sessions at FAME Recording Studio for Made In Muscle Shoals EP, which arrived earlier this year on January 30th.

The new video takes viewers into the famous FAME Recording Studio in Muscle Shoals, AL, where members of the eight-piece rock band are seen jamming away on their respective instruments in isolation rooms (not the coronavirus kind) throughout the song.

“We had no preconceived notion about how we wanted the songs to change before going into FAME Studios,” said lead singer, David Shaw to Relix Magazine recently. “We really wanted the vibe of the room to guide us to that place. ‘You And I” really took its shape once Zack [Feinberg] landed on that new riff you hear in the beginning.”

The Revivalists recently paused their Into The Stars Tour due to the Coronavirus pandemic but will return to the road when feasible (here are the current Tour Dates).

Recorded in the legendary Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals we hope you enjoy this incredibly special version of “You And I”.
