Charlie Millikin was born into a musical family, was singing and performing with his siblings for friends and family by the age of six, and after getting his first guitar at the age of 18, he’s never looked back.
Charlie won Best Original Pop Song and Best Original Singer/Songwriter Song in the 2016 Ohio Music Awards, the overall Grand Prize in the Songdoor 2016 International Songwriting Competition with his original song “Change Me” and Best Singer/Songwriter Song for his song “Broken” in the 2018 Ohio Music Awards.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Charlie recently made the big move to Los Angeles, to further pursue is music career.
Who is the girl “Before You” was written about? Charlie says, “It’s actually about when I first fell in love with my current girlfriend. The song came to me very quickly and is one of my favorites.”
Charlie has many love songs in his repertoire. In fact, last year he released a double album of current and classic romantic covers perfect for a bride and groom’s first dance. Although he brought his unique voice and swagger to those tunes, Charlie’s inner light shines even brighter through his captivating originals.
